Has Our Justice System Failed?
There have been some interesting developments in my mom’s case that I find quite appalling. It seems the transcripts from our animal control post-seizure hearing have gone missing! Interesting enough the attorney that we hired for the hearing, Anne Cunningham, was supposed to have had a copy so we could file our civil suit to regain custody of our horses. So let me summarize this… animal control could not prove their seizure was legal (which it was not because the horses were not in our care at the time of the seizure), they have since gotten a judge to release custody of our horses so they could be adopted and/or euthanized (before the preliminary hearing was even started), and now they are keeping evidence out of court (transcripts, pictures, letters, etc.). They even have the arrest date wrong! They say that they arrested my mom in January 2008. Aside from the fact that my mom was NEVER arrested at all, after the harassment began in January we met with the director of Riverside County Animal Services, Rob Miller, Frank Corvino, and the veterinarian Dr. Drueseys in April and a letter was written stating there were no open cases pending. The horses weren’t even taken until June 2008, so how can someone be charged with a crime they haven’t even committed yet? Wouldn’t that be some swift detective work? So let me ask a question……am I the only one that sees how messed up our justice system has become? From the outside looking in is it not apparent what is going on here? Because my mom has to go to court tomorrow for a rearrangement on misdemeanor charge for a crime she didn’t commit.

MY COMMENTS KEEP GETTING ERASED MYSTERIOUSLY. I HAVE A WRIT FILED IN RIVERSIDE, BUT WE ARE STILL FACING ANIMAL CRUELTY IN MURRIETA. THIS IS SO PREPOSTEROUS. County counsel committed blatant "Fraud on the Court." by filing the civil issue of DISPOSING OF OUR HORSES in the criminal case Number. My "Conflict Public Defender, Parwana Anwar, has NEVER even spoken to me. I have NEVER received anything from the Court although I have shown up for 13 hearings! Her investigator from Monahan Investigations is nice and speaks to me. He said she refused to come to court on the 19th of january because the ISSUE WHICH COUNTY COUNSEL PUT IN FRONT OF THE COURT IS A CIVIL ISSUE!!!! WELL I FILED A CIVIL LAWSUIT (RIC532087) AND SERVED IT ON ANIMAL CONTROL, AGT. HEUNNEKENS (AKA HORSETHIEF), BOB LUCAS, JOICE DIETLIN AND TERRY MATHIS ON DEC. 15, 2009. SO I tried to file my own OPPOSITION TO THIS FRAUDULANT MOTION - COUNSEL STATED FALSELY THAT WE HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO THEM. WELL, MY EMAILS TO THEM ARE VERIFIED AND SO IS THE CIVIL LAWSUIT.
ALL THE CLERKS IN MURRIETTA AND RIVERSIDE REMEMBER ME AS THEY TRIED REALLY HARD TO HELP ME FILE THE OPPOSITION. SINCE WE ARE REPRESENTED BY COUNSEL, I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO OPPOSE THE MOTION. THIS IS NOT TRICKERY. THIS IS BLATANT FRAUD ON THE COURT. COUNTY COUNSEL, LAFONG, THEN LIED TO THE JUDGE. SHE HAD MY OPPOSITION IN HER HAND ALONG WITH THE WRIT WHICH I FILED ORIGINALLY IN MAY AND AMENDED 2 TIMES. MY HUSBAND'S ATTORNEY ACTUALLY SHOWED UP AND TESTIFIED IN AN ANGRY WAY. HE NEVER MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS A PENDING CIVIL LAWSUIT, THOUGH. THE JUDGE IGNORED HIS TESTIMONY, HE ALSO IGNORED MY VALID OPPOSITION AND REFUSED TO EVEN LOOK AT THE WRIT WHICH I HAD TO PROVE WHAT IS GOING ON. COUNSEL LAFONG JUST BLAZED AWAY LYING HER HEAD OFF. THESE YOUNG LAWYERS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SEEM TO HAVE AVOIDED LEARNING ANYTHING ABOUT ETHICS AND DUTY TO SEEK THE TRUTH.THEY WILL SAY AND DO ANYTHING TO WIN BECAUSE IT IS EASY TO LIE!!!THERE IS NO CONSEQUENCES TO LYING BY PROSECUTORS OR COUNTY COUNSEL!!!! THE COURTS ARE BASICALLY AN EXTENSION OF THE PROSECUTION. THERE IS A GROUP OF RIVERSIDE ANIMAL CONTROL VOLUNTEERS WHICH ANYONE CAN JOIN. SOME OF THEM ARE BASICALLY LOOTERS WHO USE ANIMAL CONTROL TO SPECK OUT PEOPLE LIKE FIRE VICTIMS WHO HAVE NICE HORSES. THEY BIDE THEIR TIME,HAVE HEUNNEKENS SPECK OUT THE PREMESIS, THEN MOVE IN AT 5 AM AND LOAD UP. IN OUR CASE, IT WAS A $30,000 17 BLACK THOROUGHBRED RACE HORSE STALLION!!!!!!!!I AM PRETTY SURE I HAVE FOUND THE RIG THAT STOLE BUDDY. I FOUND IT ON TIERS WEBSITE. THIS NON PROFIT ADVERTISES IT WORKS WITH LOCAL ANIMAL CONTROL AGENCIES. I CALLED ANOTHER RANCH WHICH ADVERTISES ON THIS WEBSITE. THE OWNER CALLED ME BACK AND ADMITTED SHE PARTICIPATED IN ONE OF THESE RAIDS. NOW WHY DOES ANIMAL CONTROL HAVE TO DO THIS WHEN THE OWNERS ARE GONE? IN OUR CASE, LESLEY HEUNNEKENS KNEW THE NAMES OF ALL OF OUR HORSES. BUT WAS HAD NEVER SEEN HER, EXCEPT THE EVENING BEFORE BUDDY WAS STOLEN. WE HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS FOR 7 YEARS. SO WHY DIDN'T HUENNEKENS CALL US IF THERE WAS ANY PROBLEMS. INSTEAD SHE CONSPIRED WITH THE LOCAL DRUNK/THIEF, JOICE DIETLIN, WHO WAS A FRIEND OF ONE OF THE PEOPLE WE PAID TO CARE FOR OUR HORSES. ONCE JOICE SHOWED UP AND HAD ACCESS TO OUR HORSES AND HAY, THE HAY, GRAIN, DOG FOOD AND ITEMS FROM OUR TRAVEL TRAILER WHICH WAS STORED THERE BEGAN DISAPPEARING. WE DROVE FROM SAN DIEGO TO ANZA EVERY FEW DAYS TO CARE FOR OUR HORSES AND DOGS AND TO BUY AND REPLACE HAY, GRAIN AND DOG FOOD. JOICE MOVED HERSELF TO THAT RANCH THE SAME DAY SHE HAD HEUNNEKENS SEIZE OUR HORSES WITHOUT NOTICE TO US. IN FACT THEY MADE SURE THAT THE HORSES WOULD BE GONE BEFORE WE GOT THERE. JOICE KNEW THAT WE WERE MOVING OUR HORSES THAT DAY TO 400 ACRES OF PASTURE JUST DOWN THE STREET THAT VERY AFTERNOON.
